Originally called the Minarets Wilderness, monotonous was renamed to honor lensman, Ansel Adams, in Covering help , acres, it contains awe-inspiring glacial valleys, high alpine lakes and peaks including the pre-eminent peak, Mt Ritter at 13, feet.
